Amazon Security is seeking a software engineer to contribute to building scalable, secure, and highly available microservices across AWS. You will mentor junior developers, write quality code with strong test coverage, and participate in architecture decisions to ensure rugged systems that meet evolving compliance needs.

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Write high-quality code with thorough test coverage and mentor junior developers.
Engineer systems for Amazon-scale reliability and performance.
Design highly available, secure distributed microservices and improve them with peer guidance.
Lead Agile projects with high visibility and continuously improve planning, design, testing and operations.
Take full ownership of systems and operate them based on real-time customer data and SLAs.
