Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Security Consultant for the AWS Professional Services (ProServe) team in New York.

You will work with customers to design, automate, and manage secure AWS solutions that protect assets and reduce risk. The role involves gathering requirements, assessing security capabilities, and implementing optimized controls while guiding customers on best practices and industry trends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience.
• Knowledge of the primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3).
• 1+ years automating security operations including scripting and automation to build scalable and secure environments, automating security assessments and remediation workflows, and implementing security policies as code.
• 3+ years of any combination of the following: application security frameworks, identity and access controls, incident response, mobile security, cloud computing and security, AI security, threat intelligence, and penetration testing experience.
• Degree in advanced technology or AWS Professional level certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Solve technical problems independently.
• Collaborate with others to define and implement solutions.
• Escalate risks with options, impact, and recommended solutions.
• Be an established expert in at least one technology domain.
• Implement, automate, and manage scalable and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery.
