Job summary

SMX is seeking a seasoned Solution Architect to document design and architecture models, provide technical guidance to development teams, and ensure secure, modular cloud environments in Bismarck, North Dakota.

You will write design and operational documentation, analyze scopes for improvements, and apply DevSecOps practices while collaborating across teams to align on technical direction.

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional experience in a solution architect or related role.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• AWS certification.
• Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Deep familiarity with cloud architecture, including hybrid multi-cloud target architectures and operating models.
• Experience with data migration from on-premises to cloud environments.
• Experience with AI code conversion and GenAI-related code quality tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to interface with customers.
• A self-starter who is detail-oriented, can work with minimal supervision, and consistently produces quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to document high-quality solutions and architecture models.
• Document system designs featuring open architecture and modular cloud environments.
• Provide technical assistance to development teams throughout the SDLC.
• Write design, sizing, and operational documentation.
• Analyze project scopes to recommend improvements.
• Leverage DevSecOps and stay current with new technologies and third-party apps.
