Job Summary

HII, Mission Technologies seeks an experienced Cloud Security Architect Lead to drive security initiatives for a major US Air Force program. This senior role involves leading enterprise security architecture and implementation in AWS cloud environments, serving as the technical advisor for Zero-trust, data-centric security solutions. The ideal candidate has AWS cloud security expertise and DoD security experience, shaping security architecture for mission-critical information sharing across defense and intelligence communities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Serve as the principal liaison for boundary defense initiatives, ensuring cybersecurity controls align with agency architecture and NIST guidelines.
2. Oversee compliance, security, and regulatory requirements.
3. Develop and implement security measures for cloud solutions meeting government standards.
4. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to security architects and engineers.
5. Establish security standards and best practices for AWS cloud infrastructure in FedRAMP+ environments.
6. Evaluate new cloud security technologies and recommend their adoption.
7. Maintain documentation related to cloud security solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience.
• 8+ years in cloud security, with 5+ years in leadership; 2+ years in a DoD or federal environment.
• Experience with FedRAMP+ environments.
• DoDI 8570.01/8140.02 IASAE Level III or IASAE II progressing to III.
• Experience with AWS public cloud in FedRAMP+ environments.
• Knowledge of government cloud security and compliance requirements.
• Experience with security technologies such as IAM, encryption, network security.
• Experience implementing DISA STIGs.
• Active secret security clearance.

Bonus points for AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Security) and advanced CompTIA certifications (e.g., CASP+). Physical requirements include adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity.
