Job summary

CivicPlus is seeking a Security & Infrastructure Architect to define and maintain secure configurations across AWS and Azure, ensuring reviews before ship and alignment with DISA STIGs and CIS Benchmarks. You will baseline environments, translate results into actionable work, and partner with DPRE/SRE to embed security into cloud services and IaC.

Qualifications

• Five+ years working in cloud, infrastructure, systems engineering, or security engineering.
• At least three years in architecture or senior design/standards roles.
• Real depth in AWS or Azure security configuration.
• Experience reviewing or writing infrastructure as code, Terraform preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud security posture tooling and distinguishing real findings from noise.
• Experience applying DISA STIGs/CIS Benchmarks or equivalents.
• Knowledge of FedRAMP or GovRAMP monitoring and evidence requirements.
• Ability to automate configuration checks and evidence collection.

Responsibilities

• Define secure configuration across AWS and Azure, including IAM, networks, encryption, logging, secrets.
• Baseline cloud environments and prioritize findings for teams.
• Translate assessment results into actionable work with technical detail.
• Partner with DPRE and SRE to embed security in cloud services and IaC.
• Review architecture and IaC changes for security impact before shipping.
• Keep security standards current as cloud platforms evolve.
