Placements24 is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to design and implement secure cloud solutions for client engagements. You will develop and maintain security architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring data and application protection in cloud environments.

The role requires 5+ years in information security with a cloud focus, expertise in cloud platforms, and IaC/automation experience. Remote work optional with client-facing engagements in East London region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Info Security or related field.
• 5+ years in information security with a cloud focus.
• Proven expertise securing AWS, Azure and GCP.
• IaC and security automation experience.
• Certs such as AWS Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer or CISSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security controls for cloud environments.

• Conduct security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure and services.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative Cloud Security Architect to design and implement secure cloud solutions for their operations, with a focus on clients in the East London region. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the security architecture for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring the protection of data and applications against cloud-specific threats. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies and security best practices, contributing to the secure adoption and operation of cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security controls and architectures for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Conduct security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure and services.
• Implement and manage cloud security tools, including WAFs, CASBs, and cloud-native security services.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure secure cloud deployments and operations.
• Respond to cloud security incidents and provide technical guidance for remediation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in information security, with a specialization in cloud security architecture.
• Proven expertise in securing major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, services, and best practices.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and security automation.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or CISSP are highly desirable.
