Job summary

B2Bnetwork is seeking a PostgreSQL Database Administrator to support migration, operation, and optimization of PostgreSQL databases on Google Cloud. The role covers traditional and cloud-native workloads, with emphasis on reliability, security, and compliance across enterprise environments.

You will migrate on-prem databases to Google Cloud, tune performance, upgrade systems, and assist applications during onboarding.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on PostgreSQL DBA experience in enterprise environments.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, tuning, and configuration.
• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL on cloud platforms, ideally Google Cloud.
• Hands-on experience with database migrations from on-prem to cloud.

Responsibilities

• Migrate PostgreSQL databases from on-prem to Google Cloud.
• Support PostgreSQL on VM-based and managed cloud services.
• Perform upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Onboard applications to PostgreSQL platforms.
• Troubleshoot incidents and support change/release activities.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, and application stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation and knowledge articles.
