Job summary

Good co India seeks a senior Cloud Engineer/Architect to lead the design, development, and operation of scalable cloud platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will drive platform strategy, standardize infrastructure, and enable developers with reusable capabilities.

The role focuses on IaC, automation, multi-cloud governance, and collaboration with DevOps, SRE, and security teams. Strong leadership and hands-on cloud expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Architecture, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related field.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with one or more major cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proven experience designing and operating enterprise‑scale cloud platforms and infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and operation of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms.
• Define and execute cloud platform strategy across AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid-cloud environments.
• Design standardized cloud infrastructure, landing zones, networking, identity, security, and governance frameworks.
• Build and maintain reusable platform capabilities that enable development and engineering teams to deploy applications efficiently.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code, automation, self-service infrastructure, and platform engineering practices.
• Manage Kubernetes, container platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native services.
• Establish cloud security, IAM, compliance, governance, and access-management standards.
• Implement monitoring, observability, logging, alerting, and reliability practices across cloud platforms.
• Lead cloud migration, modernization, infrastructure transformation, and platform optimization initiatives.
• Drive cloud cost optimization, resource utilization, capacity planning, and FinOps practices.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, backup, scalability, and business continuity of critical cloud services.
• Establish platform standards, architecture guidelines, operational processes, documentation, and best practices.
• Collaborate with application engineering, DevOps, SRE, security, data, and product teams to deliver platform capabilities.
• Evaluate new cloud technologies and services and recommend solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Manage cloud service providers, technology vendors, contracts, and service-level agreements where applicable.
• Lead, mentor, and develop cloud/platform engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership and communicate platform strategy, risks, costs, and performance to senior stakeholders.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Architecture, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or a related field.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with one or more major cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proven experience designing and operating enterprise‑scale cloud platforms and infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, compute, storage, databases, load balancing, DNS, and connectivity.
• Experience building CI/CD platforms using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.
• Strong knowledge of cloud‑native architecture, microservices, containers, APIs, serverless technologies, and distributed systems.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with cloud migration, modernization, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, compliance, and enterprise architecture principles.
• Experience implementing cloud cost management and optimization practices, including FinOps.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers in a cross‑functional environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, stakeholder‑management, and technical leadership skills.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline; M.Tech/MS/MCA is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP, CKA/CKAD, Terraform, or FinOps are an advantage.
