Job summary
General Motors' Atmos team seeks a Software Engineering Manager, Cloud Platform, to lead engineers building Nova, GM's next generation cloud platform. You will own event messaging, data, and storage services across Azure and GCP, shaping reliability and developer experience.
You will cultivate a high-performing team, manage backlog and delivery, partner with security and product teams, and drive operational maturity, monitoring, and on-call readiness across multi-cloud services.
Qualifications
- Experience leading engineering teams in cloud platform, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
- Strong foundation in cloud-native systems and production operations.
- Experience building and running highly reliable services with monitoring and deployment patterns.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of engineers responsible for cloud platform capabilities in event messaging, data, and storage.
- Drive delivery and day-to-day operational excellence for shared services across Nova.
- Own backlog management, program management, planning, and team ceremonies to improve execution and clarity.
