Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Engineering for the Cloud Technology Group Compute division. You will lead and grow a team building the cloud-native Kubernetes platform, shaping the roadmap, and ensuring reliability and security across production services.

You will mentor engineers, drive Agile delivery, and foster an inclusive, collaborative culture while pushing for rapid, secure development that accelerates product delivery.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in software development along with experience in engineering leadership or management role.
• Demonstrate leadership in Cloud Native Platform Engineering, driving organizational alignment and operational efficiency
• Have track record of managing teams that build and operate highly available production services using Kubernetes and cloud‑native technologies
• Have technical foundation in containerization, microservices architecture, and cloud infrastructure
• Have experience hiring, developing, and retaining top engineering talent
• Possess expertise leveraging CI/CD tools to achieve good software development practices
