Job summary

Akamai's Cloud Technology Group Compute division seeks a Manager Engineering to lead a team building the Kubernetes-based cloud-native platform on our IaaS stack. You will partner with product leadership to shape the strategic roadmap and ensure security, reliability, and scale across Akamai's globally distributed cloud environment.

You will mentor engineers, manage delivery timelines in an Agile setting, and foster an inclusive, collaborative culture while driving technical excellence and rapid

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in software development with leadership/management experience.
• Leadership in Cloud Native Platform Engineering and operational efficiency.
• Track record of building and operating highly available production services on Kubernetes.
• Strong foundation in containerization, microservices, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience hiring, developing, and retaining top engineering talent.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools to enforce good software practices.
