Job summary

AutoZone, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer for Cloud Operations in Memphis, TN to deploy, manage, and optimize our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will implement Terraform automation, GKE deployments, and GitOps workflows to ensure scalable, reliable services.

You will collaborate across SREs, platform architects, and development teams to sustain high security and performance, while supporting AI/ML workloads and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on Kubernetes in production
• Experience with GKE (Standard/Autopilot) and cluster upgrades
• Strong knowledge of resource management and networking in Kubernetes

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP using Terraform
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI and GitOps with ArgoCD
• Monitor performance with observability tools and troubleshoot production issues
• Participate in on-call rotation for 24/7 support of critical infra
• Document runbooks and architecture decisions; perform RCA and preventive measures
