Job summary

Intel is seeking a Cloud Application Development Engineer in Hillsboro, OR to design, develop, deploy, and support cloud-native applications powering semiconductor manufacturing and automation. You will build scalable, secure platforms that boost engineering productivity and AI-driven factory ops.

You will lead microservices, CI/CD, and DevOps practices, collaborate across teams, and contribute to AI-enabled automation in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of software development experience in C#, Python, or similar languages.
• 2+ years of cloud development, containerized apps, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cloud-native applications and services supporting manufacturing and engineering workflows.
• Support 24x7 manufacturing operations through on-call rotations, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
• Design and implement scalable microservices, APIs, and containerization systems using Kubernetes and cloud-native apps.
• Architect secure cloud solutions spanning application, data, networking, identity, and observability domains.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and DevOps automation.
• Provide technical leadership for contractor and partner development teams across multiple geographic regions, driving architecture and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and software teams to deliver innovative automation solutions.
• Contribute to AI and Agentic AI capabilities that improve factory efficiency and engineering productivity.
