INSPYR Solutions is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer (Azure) to own and operate an enterprise Azure environment. You will lead design, deployment, and optimization of Azure infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and performance while guiding cross-functional teams through incidents and complex troubleshooting.

The role requires hands-on expertise, strong communication, and a track record of improving platform stability through automation and architectural enhancements.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of systems/infrastructure/cloud engineering experience with 5+ years on Microsoft Azure.
• Proven ownership of an enterprise Azure production environment.
• Deep expertise in Azure infrastructure (VMs, Storage, VNets, Entra ID, core services).
• Strong Azure networking experience (VPNs, DNS, ExpressRoute, routing, firewalls, load balancers).
• Experience with IaC (Terraform, ARM, Bicep), automation, CI/CD, and Azure monitoring tools.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer (Azure) to take full technical ownership and accountability for an enterprise Azure environment. This individual must be a hands-on engineer who can independently manage platform health, proactively identify and resolve issues, lead complex troubleshooting efforts, and drive continuous improvements. The ideal candidate combines deep Azure infrastructure expertise with strong technical leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Take end-to-end technical ownership of the Azure platform, ensuring reliability, performance, security, and operational stability.
• Design, deploy, manage, and optimize Azure infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and core cloud services.
• Independently identify infrastructure risks, troubleshoot complex issues, develop solutions, and drive improvements without constant direction.
• Lead incident response and troubleshooting efforts across networking, security, application, and infrastructure teams, ensuring timely resolution.
• Provide technical leadership, coordinate cross-functional resources, and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Proactively evaluate Azure architecture, recommend improvements, establish priorities, and implement solutions that enhance platform performance and scalability.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
• Monitor platform health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and related tools.
• Maintain cloud security, disaster recovery, business continuity, automation, and operational best practices.
• Proactively communicate platform status, technical risks, incidents, and recommended solutions to stakeholders and leadership.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or cloud engineering experience, including 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
• Proven experience independently owning and maintaining an enterprise Azure production environment, with accountability for platform health, stability, and continuous improvement.
• Deep expertise in Azure infrastructure, including VMs, Storage, VNets, Entra ID, Azure security, and core platform services.
• Strong Azure networking experience, including VPNs, DNS, ExpressRoute, routing, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex troubleshooting, incident response, root cause analysis, and cross-functional technical resolution.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep), automation, CI/CD, and Azure monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and solution-design skills, with the ability to evaluate technical risks, challenge approaches, and independently drive improvements.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide proactive updates, escalated issues, and effectively engage technical teams and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Lead Azure Engineer, Senior Cloud Engineer, or hands-on Azure Solutions Architect with direct platform ownership.
• Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305).
• Experience with AKS, Kubernetes, PowerShell, Azure DevOps, and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise or regulated environments.
