Job summary

Trossen Robotics is seeking a Platform Engineer to build and own the cloud infrastructure powering physical AI. You will manage petabyte-scale data pipelines, GPU orchestration across providers, and tooling for robots deployed worldwide, wearing three hats: cloud operations, platform architecture, and end-to-end feature shipping.

Responsibilities include driving scalable data storage architecture, frontend/backend development with FastAPI and React, and secure, cost-aware AWS management.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building scalable cloud systems.
• Hands-on AWS experience (IAM, VPC, RDS, S3, Secrets Manager).
• Strong Python backend experience with typed web frameworks (FastAPI, Django).
• Experience with structured and unstructured databases, including migrations on live data.
• Infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD tooling experience.
• Ability to make and defend load-bearing architectural decisions.
• Escalation point when production breaks.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture on data storage at scale and GPU orchestration across providers.
• Build FastAPI backends and React frontends end-to-end, with product scope in mind.
• Design and evolve PostgreSQL schemas, including safe migrations under load.
• Manage AWS infrastructure as code across environments with CI/CD and monitoring.
• Own platform availability, security, and cost.
• Raise the quality bar across design review, code review, and testing.
