Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and management of robust and scalable infrastructure to support systems like Apache Spark, Apache Flink, and Apache Kafka in production environments. You will play a crucial part in optimizing resource utilization, ensuring high availability, and troubleshooting complex issues within our distributed data processing frameworks. This position requires a strong understanding of cloud platforms and containerization technologies, as you'll be instrumental in building and maintaining the foundational components of our data ecosystem. What you will do:

• Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure to support Apache Spark and/or Apache Flink clusters in production environments.

• Optimize resource utilization, scalability, and fault tolerance for distributed data processing frameworks.

• Implement and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Administer and optimize Databricks environments, cluster management, job scheduling, and performance tuning.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of Spark/Flink clusters and related services.

• Collaborate with software and data teams to integrate infrastructure with application workloads and pipelines.

• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and capacity management.

What you will need:

• Experience in infrastructure engineering, with at least 2 years working with Apache Spark and/or Apache Flink.

• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their infrastructure services (e.g., VPC, IAM, compute, storage).

• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Go for automation and tooling.

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of distributed systems architecture and cluster management.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools and logging frameworks.

Nice to have:

• Experience tuning and scaling Spark/Flink clusters and Databricks for high-throughput workloads.

• Familiarity with big data ecosystem tools like Hadoop, Kafka, or Zookeeper.

• Background in CI/CD pipeline management and GitOps practices.
