Qualifications

  • Prior experience with public Cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of core platform components such as Projects, Folders, IAM, and Billing.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using industry-standard tools, with Terraform preferred.
  • Experience working with GitOps methodologies.
  • Familiarity with source code management, particularly git.
  • Ability to automate and script using tools such as G-Cloud, CLI, Bash, Python, and Golang.
  • Experience with modern platform stacks like Kubernetes or GKE, and related technologies including service mesh ingress, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring stacks, and security tools.
  • Understanding of networking principles within Public Cloud environments.
  • Awareness of security best practices and considerations in Public Cloud operations.

  • Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of cloud-based solutions aligned with product initiatives.

  • Provide support and consultancy to stakeholders across the organization.

  • Drive innovation by implementing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions that meet business needs.

About The Role

The Cloud Platform Engineer will be an integral part of the teams responsible for delivering and operating resources that support Bet365's Sports Trading and Core Systems Cloud services.
