Job summary

Echo Global Logistics seeks a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to design and govern an enterprise-grade Azure cloud platform supporting critical logistics systems. You will shape Landing Zones, governance, security, and platform reliability across regions.

You will mentor engineers, drive automation via Terraform and Azure DevOps, lead cost optimization through FinOps, disaster recovery planning, and AI-powered ops to deliver reliable, scalable cloud services.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing enterprise cloud infrastructure.
• 7+ years designing and operating Microsoft Azure platforms.
• Experience delivering Azure Landing Zones, governance, networking, identity, and security at enterprise scale.
• Deep expertise across Azure compute, networking, storage, monitoring, IaC (Terraform), Azure DevOps, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Architect and govern enterprise-scale Azure platforms with multi-region resilience and zero single points of failure
• Lead Azure Landing Zone architecture, governance, networking, security, and platform standards
• Drive Azure Well-Architected Framework reviews and engineering best practices

Lead Enterprise Azure Cloud Architecture at Scale

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer with deep Microsoft Azure expertise to lead the design, governance, and evolution of our enterprise Azure cloud platform. This highly influential role is responsible for enterprise Azure architecture, Landing Zones, Well-Architected governance, platform reliability, FinOps, disaster recovery, AI-driven operations, and engineering standards supporting mission-critical logistics systems.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience (or equivalent practical experience).

• 10+ years designing enterprise cloud infrastructure

• 7+ years designing and operating Microsoft Azure platforms

• Proven experience delivering Azure Landing Zones, governance, networking, identity, and security at enterprise scale

• Deep expertise across Azure compute, networking, storage, monitoring, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Azure DevOps, and CI/CD

• Experience with Azure Well-Architected Framework, FinOps, disaster recovery, and platform reliability

• Strong technical leadership with experience influencing architecture across engineering teams

Nice to Have

• AWS or Google Cloud Platform experience (Azure remains the primary platform)
• Multi-cloud Terraform and cloud-agnostic Infrastructure as Code
• Identity federation (Microsoft Entra ID, OIDC, SAML)
• Observability platforms such as Dynatrace or Datadog
• FinOps and enterprise cloud cost optimization

Certifications

• Microsoft Azure certifications highly regarded (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-700)
• Terraform Associate or Professional
• FinOps Practitioner / FinOps Certified Engineer
• AWS or GCP certifications welcomed for multi-cloud experience
