Job summary

Echo Global Logistics seeks a Lead Enterprise Azure Cloud Architect to design and govern enterprise-scale Azure platforms with multi-region resilience and zero single points of failure. The role focuses on Landing Zone governance, security, and platform standards, with hands-on IaC using Terraform and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

Lead Enterprise Azure Cloud Architecture at Scale

What You'll Do

• Architect and govern enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure platforms with multi-region resilience and zero single points of failure
• Lead Azure Landing Zone architecture, governance, networking, security, and platform standards
• Drive Azure Well-Architected Framework reviews and engineering best practices
• Build enterprise Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience (or equivalent practical experience).
• 10+ years designing enterprise cloud infrastructure
• 7+ years designing and operating Microsoft Azure platforms
• Proven experience delivering Azure Landing Zones, governance, networking, identity, and security at enterprise scale
• Deep expertise across Azure compute, networking, storage, monitoring, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Azure DevOps, and CI/CD
• Experience with Azure Well-Architected Framework, FinOps, disaster recovery, and platform reliability
• Strong technical leadership with experience influencing architecture across engineering teams

Nice to Have

• AWS or Google Cloud Platform experience (Azure remains the primary platform)
• Multi-cloud Terraform and cloud-agnostic Infrastructure as Code
• Identity federation (Microsoft Entra ID, OIDC, SAML)
• Observability platforms such as Dynatrace or Datadog
• FinOps and enterprise cloud cost optimization

Certifications

• Microsoft Azure certifications highly regarded (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, AZ-700)
• Terraform Associate or Professional
• FinOps Practitioner / FinOps Certified Engineer
• AWS or GCP certifications welcomed for multi-cloud experience
