Job summary

Tripoint Solutions LLC is seeking a Cloud Engineer to build, operate, and automate AWS GovCloud infrastructure for a federal education program. You will collaborate with cloud, Salesforce, integration, and data teams to keep environments secure, available, and compliant.

ROs: remote role, with work across security, IAM, and data services; requires hands-on AWS GovCloud experience and MuleSoft/Salesforce integration. Strong automation and RMF/ATO knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• ~5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or operations.
• ~Hands-on AWS GovCloud experience.
• ~Hands-on AWS across compute, storage, networking, and identity (VPCs, subnets, routing, peering, Route 53, load balancing, VPN/Direct Connect).
• ~Experience integrating AWS with Salesforce and MuleSoft.
• ~Hands-on AWS Glue experience.
• ~Proficiency with IAM policy design, KMS, and least-privilege access models.
• ~Linux system administration and Python for automation.
• ~CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalents.
• ~Cloud security knowledge and hardening practices.
• ~AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
• ~Salesforce or MuleSoft certification.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and operate AWS GovCloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, EBS, RDS, VPCs).
• Build and support integrations between AWS and Salesforce (MuleSoft).
• Develop AWS Glue pipelines for secure data movement.
• Implement S3 lifecycle, tiering, and retention policies.
• Enforce least-privilege access with IAM/KMS and network isolation.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and security monitoring.
• Support STIG, RMF, ATO activities and vulnerability remediation.
• Maintain deployment runbooks, rollback procedures, and change control artifacts.
• Automate ops using Python.

As a Cloud Engineer, you will build, operate, and automate AWS GovCloud infrastructure for a federal education program. You will work within the cloud team's architecture and alongside the Salesforce, integration, and data teams to keep environments secure, available, and compliant.

Location : Remote. The selected candidate must be currently located in, or willing to relocate to, one of the states supported by Tripoint Solutions corporate offices: No relocation assistance provided.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, and operate AWS GovCloud infrastructure, including EC2, S3, EBS, RDS, VPCs, subnets, security groups, and Route 53.
• Build and support integrations between AWS and Salesforce, including MuleSoft-based interfaces.
• Build and maintain AWS Glue pipelines that move data securely between source systems.
• Implement S3 lifecycle, tiering, and retention policies.
• Secure RDS and other data services with least-privilege access, encryption, and network isolation.
• Implement and maintain IAM policies, KMS key management, and secrets management.
• Build automated security scanning, dependency validation, and continuous monitoring into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support STIG implementation, Risk Management Framework and Authority to Operate activities, and vulnerability remediation on contractual timelines.
• Maintain deployment runbooks, rollback procedures, and change control artifacts that support high-availability standards.
• Automate operational work using Python.
