You will design, build, and maintain cloud solutions on our cloud platforms, partnering with technical teams, product owners, and other stakeholders in a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative delivery environment.
Base pay range: $165,000.00/yr - $185,000.00/yr

Carlyle is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to join our Enterprise Technology practice. You will partner closely with technical teams, product owners, and other business stakeholders to design, build, and maintain solutions on our cloud platforms. You will manage a dedicated Cloud Operations team and oversee partnerships with service providers, automating cloud operations, and ensuring security and compliance.
You will be instrumental throughout the lifecycle of our cloud services—from designing robust cloud architectures and networking strategies to implementing CI/CD pipelines for automated management and deployment. You will utilize tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation, and AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and Lambda to build and maintain scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant environments supporting our global operations.
You will monitor cloud infrastructure health, analyze performance metrics, and implement cost optimization strategies. You will collaborate with development teams to provide infrastructure support for applications and participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning. There are opportunities to influence technology choices and drive strategic initiatives.
The compensation range is specific to Washington, DC, and reflects various factors including skills, experience, and certifications. The anticipated base salary range is $165,000 to $185,000. Eligible employees may participate in a discretionary annual incentive program based on performance.
