Job summary

Crane Aerospace and Electronics seeks an IT Systems Engineer Compute/Data Center II/III for on-site work in Lynnwood, WA or Burbank, CA. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining compute infrastructure on-prem and in the cloud.

The role requires experience with hypervisors, backup/storage, and disaster recovery, with Level II or III depending on experience. On-site work with standard manufacturing environment conditions is expected.

Qualifications

BS degree in a computer-oriented technical discipline or equivalent experience.
Level II: 2-4+ years as a Systems Engineer in a medium to high volume environment.
Level III: 4-7+ years as a Systems Engineer in a medium to high volume environment.
Experience managing and maintaining hypervisor technologies including Nutanix and VMware; experience with backup appliances, storage arrays, and server blade systems.

Responsibilities

Patch and manage data center and cloud technologies including VMware, Nutanix, Azure, and Oracle OCI.
Ensure uptime of critical business systems and infrastructure through monitoring and remediation.
Deploy and manage virtual machines on-prem and in the cloud.
Provide troubleshooting and recommendations for improvements on existing and new systems.
Preserve data assets and ensure backup procedures meet company policies.
Assist other teams with IT initiatives.
Support disaster recovery of key systems.
