Job summary

AvidXchange, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer II to design, deploy, and optimize cloud networking across Azure and AWS.

You will implement secure, scalable network architectures, configure SD-WAN, firewalls, and load balancers, and drive automation with IaC while aligning with SOX/PCI compliance. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in cloud networking, IaC experience, and strong knowledge of networking protocols and security frameworks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cloud networking experience in Azure, AWS, or similar public clouds.
• Hands-on with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
• Experience with SD-WAN, cloud firewalls, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, VPN).
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as Zero Trust, NIST, or CIS benchmarks.
• Experience with cloud cost optimization strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud network architectures in public clouds (Azure, AWS).
• Configure and manage virtual networks, SD-WAN, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Implement network security best practices, including segmentation, encryption, and policy enforcement.
• Collaborate with security operations and architecture teams to remediate network security gaps.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement integrations across PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS environments.
• Monitor and manage multi-cloud networking environments, driving incident response and root cause analysis.
