Job summary

SAIC is seeking an Intelligent Virtual Agent (IVA) Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-native web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, and NestJS. The role requires on-site work one day per week in Rosslyn, VA.

You will integrate applications with relational databases (Oracle / PostgreSQL/Aurora), support AWS production environments, and drive data quality while collaborating in an agile scrum. Familiarity with deployment automation and CI/CD is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years or Master’s degree and 3+ years, with relevant hands-on experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native web applications using React/Next.js and NestJS.
• Experience with AWS-native infrastructure patterns and database integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-native web apps using React, Next.js, NestJS.
• Implement AWS-native infrastructure (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, ECS/Fargate).
• Write clean TypeScript/JavaScript code with security best practices.
• Integrate NestJS apps with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL/Aurora and manage ORM tools.
• Contribute to deployment automation and documentation; support testing activities.
• Work in an agile scrum environment and collaborate across teams.
• Utilize Jira Service Management for issue tracking and project management.
