Job summary

Karsun Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Solution Architect focused on application modernization, cloud-native architectures, and modern software practices. You will serve as the technical visionary and hands-on architect, translating complex concepts for business and technical audiences and evangelizing AI-assisted development tools.

You’ll lead multi-year roadmaps, drive containerized microservices, API-first design, and secure architectures, coordinating across architects, SMEs, and IT

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in software architecture and development.
• 7+ years designing microservices and RESTful APIs.
• 5+ years cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP) incl. containers.
• Strong coding in JS/TS, React, Node, GraphQL, Java, Python, or C#.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and align tech with business outcomes.
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and multi-year modernization roadmap.
• Lead modern cloud-native architectures using microservices and containers.
• Drive cross-functional consensus across architects, SMEs, and IT stakeholders.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through prototypes and demos.
• Champion AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity and quality.
• Evaluate and select API frameworks, integration tools, and infra patterns.
• Design API strategies and secure, scalable integration with ecosystems.
• Enforce security patterns and federal compliance requirements.
• Architect DevSecOps pipelines and observability to enable continuous delivery.
• Lead architecture governance and ADRs while mentoring staff.
