Job summary

Archer is seeking a Software Architect to provide technical direction for cloud-native software products on AWS, collaborating across product and engineering teams to deliver scalable SaaS solutions for the insurance market.

You will own architecture, guide microservices and serverless patterns, and ensure secure, observable, and cost-efficient systems from inception through deployment.

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering experience with AWS-based product environments.
• Cloud-native SaaS platforms or multi-tenant apps experience required.
• Strong knowledge of .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, TypeScript with Angular/React.

Responsibilities

• Own the target software architecture and translate strategy into roadmaps and designs.
• Design end-to-end cloud applications across UI, services, APIs, data access, and infrastructure.
• Create and govern reusable architecture patterns and standards.
• Shape modular services and bounded contexts for scalable product portfolios.
• Guide microservices, serverless, and event-driven patterns on AWS with trade-off analysis.
• Define secure API strategies for internal and external integrations.
• Provide architectural direction for modern web apps built with .NET, TypeScript, Angular, React.
• Ensure non-functional requirements like availability, performance, accessibility and security are embedded from the start.
• Collaborate with security and platform teams on identity, encryption, tenant isolation, and compliance.
• Influence CI/CD, IaC, testing, monitoring, and production support practices.
• Lead architecture reviews and proofs of concept with clear documentation.
• Coach engineers and technical leads to improve engineering quality.
