Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Autopilot team and build low-latency, scalable software for the Leo mission. You will design systems, write Java and Python, and leverage AWS to deliver mission-critical services.

You will mentor teammates, define technical roadmaps, and help onboard new engineers while ensuring safety and reliability as we scale the constellation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design/architecture experience of systems
• Experience programming with at least one language

Responsibilities

• Design suitable software systems to fulfill mission needs.
• Develop cloud-native software in Java and Python.
• Utilize AWS and other Amazon technologies to build highly-available services.
• Design and develop performant software meeting mission criteria.
• On-board and mentor new team members.
• Lead technical roadmap definition and feature prioritization.
