Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking an Application Developer to design, develop and support scalable cloud-native applications. You will build microservices and APIs, implement front-end and back-end layers, and leverage hyperscaler cloud services on GCP or Azure.

Strong knowledge of APIs, events, and domain-driven design is expected. You will work with React or Angular on the front end and 12-factor backend principles, with experience in Kafka and Zookeeper for event-driven architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies and microservices.
• Proficiency in front-end frameworks such as ReactJS or Angular.

Responsibilities

• L2/L3 support of applications focusing on domain-driven design and API-driven interfaces.
• Develop cloud-native applications using microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Implement front-end and back-end development with 12-factor principles.
• Utilize hyperscaler cloud services and event-driven tools like Kafka and Zookeeper.
• Manage services on GCP or Azure with PaaS offerings (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions).
• Apply cloud-native CI/CD and test-driven development methodologies.
