Job summary

Good co India is seeking an experienced Software Architect to define robust, scalable architectures across applications, platforms, APIs, and data stores. You will lead design decisions, mentor engineers, and drive modernization initiatives.

The role emphasizes cloud-native solutions, security, reliability, and performance, with collaboration across product, engineering, and operations teams. A strong track record in enterprise architectures is required.

Qualifications

5 to 10 years of experience in software engineering, technical architecture, solution architecture, or a similar role.
Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale applications and distributed systems.
Proficiency in Java, C#/.NET, Python, or similar technologies.
Strong hands-on knowledge of microservices, APIs, databases, system integration, and cloud technologies.
Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native architecture.
Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps, and infrastructure automation.
Strong knowledge of software design principles, design patterns, scalability, performance optimization, and application security.
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and event-driven or messaging architectures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to make sound technical decisions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
Experience mentoring technical teams and providing architecture-level technical leadership.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; relevant masters degree or professional certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

Define and design robust, scalable, secure, and high-performance technical architectures.
Translate business and functional requirements into comprehensive technical solutions.
Lead architecture and design decisions across applications, platforms, APIs, databases, and integrations.
Design and implement microservices, distributed systems, cloud-native applications, and enterprise solutions.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, tools, and platforms.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, engineering teams, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams.
Establish technical standards, architecture principles, design patterns, and development best practices.
Conduct technical and architecture reviews and ensure adherence to defined standards.
Identify technical risks, performance bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and opportunities for modernization.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers, senior engineers, and technical leads.
Drive cloud adoption, application modernization, DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and technology transformation initiatives.
Ensure solutions meet requirements for security, reliability, scalability, availability, maintainability, and performance.
Prepare and maintain architecture documents, technical specifications, solution diagrams, and technology roadmaps.
