Capgemini seeks an App Dev Migration SME to lead transformation of the application portfolio as we move to Google Cloud. You will bridge developers and cloud infra to ensure cloud-native, scalable apps.

Responsibilities include audits, containerization, modernization, CI/CD, and API management. Ideal candidates have a background in Java, Python, .NET, or Go, strong Kubernetes (GKE) skills, and a strategic mindset for lift-and-shift versus refactor.

Qualifications

• Developer background with Java, Python, .NET, or Go.
• Container expertise with Kubernetes (GKE).
• Strategic thinker on lift-and-shift vs refactor decisions.
• GCP specialist with Serverless and Managed DB options.

Responsibilities

• Application Audits: decide move strategy for apps (stay, break down into microservices).
• Containerization: wrap apps in containers (Docker/GKE) for portability.
• Modernization Lead: migrate to Google Cloud tools like Cloud Run or App Engine with usage-based cost.
• CI/CD Pipeline Setup: build Cloud Build pipelines for automated testing and deployment to cloud.
• API Management: use Apigee to secure and connect apps and external services.
