Job summary

Oxio is seeking an experienced HLR / HSS / UDM Architect to analyze, design, implement, and verify subscriber data management across 2G–5G core networks. You will drive convergence of subscriber databases as Oxio evolves its MVNO platform toward 5G standalone architecture, shaping reliability and scalability for partner networks.

You will own the subscriber data domain, manage HLR/HSS/UDM/UDR nodes, and lead provisioning workflows, Roaming configurations, and cross-domain signaling.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of core network engineering experience focusing on subscriber data management.
• BSc in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or equivalent; post-graduate studies are a plus.
• 5+ years hands-on work with HLR, HSS, UDR, or UDM platforms.
• Deep operational knowledge of HLR platforms and their MAP/TCAP/SCCP signaling stacks.
• Experience with 5G UDM/UDR and cloud-native deployments (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Familiarity with 3GPP standards for subscriber data and roaming.

Responsibilities

• Own the subscriber data management platform across network generations.
• Manage and operate HLR, HSS, UDR, and UDM nodes ensuring high availability and data integrity.
• Design and maintain subscriber provisioning workflows including IMSI/MSISDN management.
• Implement and verify interfaces (MAP, Diameter, HTTP/2) between subscriber data nodes and core elements.
• Monitor subscriber node KPIs with dashboards and surface issues before outages.
• Lead incident management and coordinate with vendors to meet SLAs.
• Perform maintenance, security audits, patching, and emergency responses.
• Contribute to projects: new nodes, capacity expansions, upgrades, and feature activations.
• Support MVNO onboarding by configuring subscriber data repositories and roaming agreements.
• Participate in 7x24 on-call rotation and rapid incident response.
• Drive automation of provisioning and audit tasks and improve processes.
