Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design and deliver data-driven solutions leveraging machine learning and distributed systems. You will work on a centralized Atlas data platform within SMGS-IDEAS to empower AWS field teams.

Join a team building scalable, secure microservices using AWS tech and contribute to architecture, planning, and hands-on development in a Scrum environment. This role offers growth and impact across enterprise customers.

Qualifications

3 years of non-internship software development experience.
2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

Design solutions to complex data challenges from first principles.
Build secure, distributed systems in microservices and containers.
Apply ML to data problems at scale.
Work with AWS tech (Glue, S3, Redshift, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, Lambda, SQS, API Gateway).
Follow software development best practices for quality and security.
Use OO design to build scalable systems.
Contribute to Scrum team planning, design, and testing.
Define system architecture and own components.
