Job summary

V Group Inc. seeks a Cloud Specialist to support its cloud migration initiative for the State of Mississippi’s Archives & History Dept.

The role focuses on designing scalable cloud architectures, migrating workloads to public clouds, and ensuring security and compliance across environments. The consultant will collaborate with security, infrastructure, and development teams to optimize performance, reliability, and cost, while adhering to government requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience with major public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and scalable cloud architecture.
• Experience with IaaS and PaaS environments and migrations.
• Security, compliance, data protection and privacy knowledge.
• Scripting in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Strong cloud networking knowledge (VPCs, firewalls) and VM management.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modify scalable cloud architecture for enterprise apps.
• Support IaaS and PaaS cloud environments and migrations from on-premises.
• Ensure security, compliance, and data protection requirements are met.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, development, security, and business teams.
• Optimize cloud environments for cost, performance, and reliability.
• Implement cloud security controls and governance tooling.
• Manage virtual machines and cloud networking components.
