Job description

Cognizant Technology Solutions is currently seeking a highly skilled Service Line Specialist - CIS who will be part of Cognizant's Cloud, Infrastructure and Security (CIS) Sales Americas BU, catering to North American customers. The role involves supporting proactive and reactive business opportunities such as managed services and transformation across all verticals. The individual will work closely with delivery teams, participate in solution discussions, workshops, due diligence, etc., with subject matter expertise in hyperscale and hybrid cloud & infrastructure solutions. The Service Line Sales Specialist will partner with customers to identify opportunities to improve business outcomes through digital transformation, leading to enhanced processes and user experiences.

The CIS Service Line Specialist will provide deep expertise in hyperscale and hybrid cloud & infrastructure solutions, supporting Cognizant's client account teams across vertical markets and expansion into new markets. They will act as a trusted advisor, blending strategic, tactical, and sales experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Drive revenue growth by leading digital Cloud & Infrastructure engagements for a $50M+ business unit.
  2. Partner with practices and delivery teams to define and drive transformation strategies and offerings.
  3. Map client organizations, build relationships, and develop growth strategies for new business opportunities in Cloud, Infrastructure, and Security.
  4. Engage with VP/CXO decision makers through consultative and transformative conversations.
  5. Lead the design and implementation of digital transformation projects to improve business processes and customer experiences.
  6. Oversee development and execution of digital strategies to foster growth and innovation.
  7. Provide technical expertise in Cloud and Infrastructure to ensure scalable solutions.
  8. Identify and develop new opportunities within existing and new businesses.
  9. Support account leadership by highlighting risks and issues, supporting mitigation efforts, and leading client discussions.
  10. Develop and execute account growth strategies and business plans for Software & Platform Engineering services.
  11. Manage growth, business development, customer relationships, and delivery transformation.
  12. Work within a matrix organization to enable prospecting and sales management goals.
  13. Maintain operational excellence and process/system hygiene to support KPIs and measurement.
  14. Lead end-to-end lead generation, sales, business development, and RFI/RFP processes.
  15. Drive growth and meet revenue and booking targets.
  16. Lead negotiations on financial and contractual terms, including outsourcing discussions.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  1. 15+ years of experience in Solutioning, Pre-Sales, Business Development, and delivery transformation with hands-on Cloud & Infrastructure skills.
  2. Strong understanding and hands-on experience in hyperscale cloud, infrastructure, and security solutions.
  3. At least 5+ years in business development, presales, sales, or practice growth and management.
  4. Comprehensive IT infrastructure & Cloud technical knowledge across various domains such as Mid-Range, Storage, Virtualization, Data Centre, Mainframe, Database, Middleware, Network, Cloud, and more.
  5. Experience in designing and implementing scalable cloud solutions.
  6. Proven ability to develop and execute digital growth strategies.
  7. Experience leading technology consulting and infrastructure practices, managing sales cycles from opportunity to contract.
  8. Ability to consult with clients to define solutions, managing deals from $250K to over $10M.
  9. Excellent communication skills, proficient in presentations and proposals.
  10. Self-driven, flexible, with ownership of objectives.
  11. Structured thinker with strong influencing skills among CXO and other decision-makers.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Experience leading large deals in Communication, Media & Entertainment sectors.
  2. Knowledge of agentic frameworks or experience with GenAI.
