Job summary

FanDuel Group is seeking an Infrastructure Engineering Director to own the foundation cloud and outpost infrastructure. You will set standards and drive reliability, standardization, and cost-aware operations across compute, networking, Kubernetes, and provisioning.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on building a disciplined, observable platform that scales with the business. This role partners with Platform Engineering and product teams, driving DR, SLOs/SLIs, and governance while

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in platform engineering, SRE, or infrastructure.
• Deep Kubernetes architecture, operations, and scaling expertise.
• Strong hands-on understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure, including VPCs, IAM, EC2, EKS, and cost management.
• Experience defining and driving platform strategy across teams with measurable standards.
• Proven ability to establish operational discipline with runbooks, change management and post-mortems.
• Experience designing disaster recovery, RTO/RPO, failover testing and resilience improvements.

Responsibilities

• Define infrastructure strategy and standards across cloud provisioning, observability, DR, and cost governance.
• Scale the infrastructure engineering team with discipline and career progression.
• Own disaster recovery strategy, RTO/RPO definitions, testing, and readiness.
• Set and monitor SLOs/SLIs for foundational services and balance cost with reliability.
• Design and evolve cloud infrastructure for resilience and cost efficiency, including AWS, Outposts, Kubernetes, networking.
• Enforce operational discipline: incident response, change management, and post‑mortems.
