Job summary

Tereina is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to join the DevOps team and scale our cloud environments. You will learn, maintain, and expand our build, development, staging, and production stacks while collaborating with developers to align infrastructure with code changes.

With 2–5 years of experience, you’ll refine Terraform modules, automate pipelines, and implement self-service provisioning. You’ll grow in a fintech payments context, embracing AI tools to accelerate work.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, platform, or site reliability engineering.
• Hands-on experience automating cloud environments with Terraform across major providers.
• Experience automating build pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GCP Cloud Build, or similar.
• Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and cloud networking.
• Fluent use of modern AI assistants to diagnose Java/Gradle issues at build and runtime.
• Collaboration with development teams to turn requirements into reliable infrastructure.
• Curiosity and drive to own and expand fintech infrastructure over time.

Responsibilities

• Partner with development teams to implement infra changes for new services and code updates.
• Develop and evolve Terraform modules and patterns across environments.
• Expand self-service provisioning so engineers can access needed resources quickly.
• Maintain and automate CI/CD pipelines to improve build speed, reliability and security.
• Maintain health of build, development, staging, and production environments.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and harden infrastructure and document it.
