Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) is seeking an IT Solution Architect to oversee the design, build, configuration, and operation of core Parkland Community HealthPlan business and clinical solutions.

The role guides Systems Analysts and Configuration Analysts, collaborates with stakeholders and vendors, and ensures scalable, secure architectures across cloud and on‑premise platforms. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Systems / Computer Science or related field required.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems / Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Five (5) years of experience implementing and supporting healthcare IT solutions with open protocols and standards (HTTP, XML, JSON, .Net) across SOAP and REST.
• Three (3) years of Solution Architect or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and deploys system solutions and integrations across PCHP's QNXT and CAE platform.
• Performs technical research to optimize IT system solutions and generate high-quality outcomes.
• Collaborates with stakeholders, vendors, and IT-BI professionals to formulate optimal plans and leverage capabilities.
• Produces design specifications and guides analysts and analysts through build, test, and deployment steps.
• Leads testing methods and environments preparation (Unit, Integration, UAT).
• Mentors IT professionals in application components and integration methods across PCHP.
