Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Hardware Development Engineer to own end-to-end server platforms from NPI to fleet health in production. You will collaborate with ODMs and internal teams to design, qualify, and scale storage and accelerator servers for AWS data centers.

You will manage the full lifecycle, drive reliability improvements, and push for zero-touch operations through automated detection and remediation. Travel ~25% is expected for critical builds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
• 3+ years of end to end product delivery experience
• 5+ years of manufacturing or manufacturing engineering experience in server, accelerator, or high-tech hardware platforms
• Hands-on hardware debug experience across electrical, firmware, and mechanical domains
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (~25%)

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end NPI lifecycle for storage and/or accelerator server platforms from architecture through launch.
• Lead technical solutions for complex server and rack system challenges.
• Develop functional specs, design verification plans, and test procedures for new platforms.
• Drive qualification milestones ensuring performance, reliability, and cost targets before fleet deployment.
