Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Cloud Hardware Development Engineer to design server architectures for AI training and inference at scale, partnering with EC2 to deliver high-performance AWS cloud offerings.

You will drive validation strategies, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and oversee production fleets to ensure reliability and cost efficiency. You will work with ODMs and internal teams on design reviews, troubleshoot issues in datacenters, and contribute to continuous improvements

Qualifications

• 7+ years of equivalent experience.
• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
• Experience in server technologies such as thermal, mechanical, power, and signal integrity.
• Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of design/innovation, manufacturing, or related experience.
• Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Experience with ODMs/manufacturer through product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Define server architectures for AI training and inference at scale.
• Drive validation strategies from PCBA bring-up to rack integration.
• Triaging hardware issues at ODMs and datacenters and implementing corrective actions.
• Oversee fleet performance and identify opportunities for improvements.
