Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a Cloud Fullstack Developer - Japanese bilingual to design and deploy cloud-based applications in a hybrid delivery center. You will work with modern front-end and back-end stacks, integrate APIGEE/API Connect, and apply DevOps practices across multi-cloud environments.

You will join IBM Delivery Centers, collaborating with senior practitioners to ensure uptime, security, and scalable solutions for clients globally. Fluency in Japanese is required.

Qualifications

Cloud-based application development using microservices and data persistence in NoSQL or RDBMS.
Experience with front-end and back-end technologies (Angular, React, CSS3, HTML5, Java, JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Groovy).
DevOps practices to enable efficient development, testing, and deployment.
Experience maintaining cloud environments with emphasis on uptime, access control, and security.
Ability to integrate REST/SOA services with APIGEE and API Connect.
Willing to work at IBM locations in Quezon City or Cebu and on client-driven shifts.

Responsibilities

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

As an Application Developer: Cloud FullStack, you will develop and deploy cloud-based applications using microservices design patterns, integrating front-end, back-end, and middleware components. You will utilize expertise in multiple layers of application development to deliver efficient and secure cloud-based solutions.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Design and Develop Applications: Develop and deploy cloud-based applications using microservices design patterns, integrating front-end, back-end, and middleware components, and persisting data in NoSQL or RDBMS databases.
Apply DevOps Methodologies: Utilize DevOps methodologies and tools to ensure efficient development, testing, and deployment of cloud-based applications.
Collaborate on Cloud Environments: Work with senior level practitioners to design, build, and maintain cloud environments, focusing on uptime, access, control, and network security using automation and configuration management tools.
Integrate Multiple Technologies: Integrate multiple technologies, including Angular, React, CSS3, HTML5, Java, JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Groovy, REST/SOA services, APIGEE, API Connect, and NoSQL/RDBMS databases, to deliver comprehensive cloud-based solutions.

Required technical and professional expertise

Cloud Application Development: Exposure to developing and deploying cloud-based applications using microservices design patterns, integrating front-end, back-end, and middleware components, and persisting data in NoSQL or RDBMS databases.
Multi-Layered Application Development: Experience working with multiple layers of application development, including front-end technologies such as Angular, React, CSS3, and HTML5, and back-end technologies such as Java, JEE, Spring, Hibernate, and Groovy.
DevOps Methodologies: Exposure to utilizing DevOps methodologies and tools to ensure efficient development, testing, and deployment of cloud-based applications.
Cloud Environment Maintenance: Experience working with cloud environments, focusing on uptime, access, control, and network security using automation and configuration management tools.
Technology Integration: Exposure to integrating multiple technologies, including REST/SOA services, APIGEE, API Connect, and NoSQL/RDBMS databases, to deliver comprehensive cloud-based solutions.
Open to work in any of IBM locations (Quezon City, Cebu).
Should be amenable to work on a client dictated shift (day, mid, night).

Preferred technical and professional experience

Cloud Security Knowledge: Exposure to implementing cloud security measures, including network security and access control, to ensure the integrity of cloud-based applications.
Advanced DevOps Tools: Experience working with advanced DevOps tools and methodologies to optimize the development, testing, and deployment of cloud-based applications.
Multi-Cloud Environments: Exposure to designing, building, and maintaining multi-cloud environments, focusing on uptime, scalability, and automation.
