Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Full Stack Engineer with extensive experience in Cloud Architecture, DevOps, Kubernetes, Python, and React to design, build, and support scalable cloud-native platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting secure cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, developing full-stack applications, and implementing enterprise DevOps best practices across AWS and Azure environments.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Platform Engineering
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Deploy and manage Kubernetes workloads on Amazon EKS.
- Configure and manage OIDC, IRSA, network policies, autoscaling, and observability.
- Implement cloud governance, security best practices, and cost optimization (FinOps).
- Support analytics, data engineering, and enterprise application platforms.
DevOps, Automation & CI/CD
- Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
- Develop and maintain Kubernetes manifests for application deployments.
- Design and implement GitOps-based CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD, Helm, GitHub, and GitLab.
- Develop Python automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, workflow automation, and compliance validation.
- Automate deployment processes to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
Full Stack Application Development
- Develop modern frontend applications using React.
- Integrate frontend applications with cloud APIs, backend services, and enterprise authentication.
- Build backend services, APIs, automation tools, and microservices using Python (Flask/FastAPI).
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers and product teams to modernize manual workflows into cloud-based applications.
Hybrid Cloud & HPC Workflow Orchestration
- Integrate cloud-based workflows with HPC environments such as Slurm.
- Develop event-driven processing pipelines using Python, AWS Lambda, Amazon S3 events, and Nextflow Tower.
- Support workflow automation for large-scale scientific and enterprise computing environments.
Operations & Observability
- Implement enterprise monitoring and alerting using AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, Datadog, and custom Python-based monitoring solutions.
- Manage production environments across AWS and Azure.
- Ensure high availability, security, scalability, and operational excellence.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead cloud and DevOps engineering initiatives across multiple projects.
- Mentor DevOps and Cloud Engineers on best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, R&D Scientists, Security Teams, Infrastructure Teams, and external vendors.
- Drive technical strategy and ensure successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience designing and managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (Amazon EKS).
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Strong experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitOps methodologies.
- Proficiency in Python development and automation scripting.
- Experience developing frontend applications using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience building REST APIs and microservices using Flask or FastAPI.
- Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes deployments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, and Datadog.
- Experience working with GitHub and GitLab.
- Knowledge of HPC environments and Slurm workload manager is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure cloud services.
- Experience with Nextflow Tower.
- Knowledge of enterprise authentication and security frameworks.
- Experience implementing cloud governance and FinOps practices.
- Exposure to scientific computing or data engineering environments.
- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.
