Job summary

Bank of America seeks an experienced Software Engineer to develop and deliver complex requirements for Healthcare Payments on an AWS-hosted platform. You will contribute to design, coding, testing, and CI/CD automation while collaborating with global teams.

The role emphasizes strong development skills in C# or Java, RESTful services, and database work, with modern DevOps practices and an agile environment. This position is on-site in the United States and requires 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C# and/or JAVA development, including Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
• Has experience in Test Driven development tools JUnit and Mockito.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to break down requirements and find efficient solutions.
• Experience building RESTful web services based applications.
• Strong hands on Database working knowledge with RDBMS such as Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Experience in CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, BitBucket and other build/deployment tools/process.
• Good interpersonal communication skills for technical and business conversations.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and able to work in a fast paced agile work space.

Responsibilities

• Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
• Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.
• Mentors other software engineers and coach team on CI/CD practices and automating tool stack.
• Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle.
• Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Automates manual release activities.
• Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).
