Job summary

The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking a senior technology leader to modernize the organization’s infrastructure from a legacy, capital-intensive on-premises model to a resilient, consumption-based cloud-first architecture.

The VP Cloud and Infrastructure Modernization will own compute, storage, network, identity, and Microsoft estate, and will consolidate seven data centers while ensuring reliable connectivity across a rural-serving network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field is required or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline is preferred for this leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Modernize the Health System from legacy on-premises to a resilient, consumption-based infrastructure.
• Consolidate a fragmented seven-data-center footprint and establish a cloud-first landing zone.
• Improve recovery capability, reduce downtime, and lower unit costs across the network.
