Job summary

Trace3 is seeking a Cloud FinOps Consultant to guide clients in optimizing cloud consumption with financial and technical expertise. This client-facing role also drives internal service improvements, training, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has three+ years in cloud billing or FinOps, strong communication, and experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP. This role includes frequent executive interactions and a focus on cost governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of three years of experience in cloud billing, sales support, operations, managed services, or finance.
• Experience onboarding clients to cloud billing, cost management, or FinOps tooling.
• Experience leading client facing presentations.
• Ability to design and build FinOps reporting frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain FinOps Practitioner certification and knowledge of FinOps frameworks.
• Onboard cloud customers to cost management systems and set up recurring billing.
• Answer customer questions about billing within SLAs.
• Execute FinOps engagements and deliver documentation and collateral on time.
• Transition engagements into ongoing services for cloud governance.
• Build reporting frameworks aligned to tagging and naming strategies.
• Analyze client cloud cost data and identify optimization opportunities.
• Publish regular FinOps reports and lead client business reviews.
• Lead client-facing presentations with executive audiences.
