Cox Automotive is seeking a Sr. FinOps Analyst to direct and perform financial analysis and reporting for cloud and SaaS spend. You will create chargebacks, monitor costs, and identify optimization opportunities across a growing set of technology vendors.

In this hybrid role, you will partner with product engineering and executive leadership to communicate cost trends, drivers, and savings opportunities, ensuring value from our cloud transformation.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.
• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of technology experience; Master’s with 2+ years or Ph.D. with 1+ year.
• Ideal candidate has 4+ years of cloud operations and FinOps experience.
• Strong business acumen, analytical abilities, and technical depth or interest.
• Experience understanding how purchased technology services are used to meet business needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Excel PivotTables and advanced Excel functions.

Responsibilities

• Create monthly accounting chargebacks and showbacks for strategic technology spend.
• Identify and alert on cloud and AI cost anomalies.
• Analyze data to solve complex cost problems and drive optimization.
• Collate and prioritize optimization recommendations and estimate potential savings.
• Monitor cloud and AI expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop expertise in cloud/AI cost optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with product engineering to implement cost optimization practices.
• Use data visuals to tell cost stories and drive governance across teams.
• Stay informed on FinOps trends and regulations.
• Generate reports and dashboards on technology spending and cost trends.
• Perform in-depth cost analyses to identify drivers and improvement areas.
• Analyze multiple cost proposals and communicate insights to management.
