Job summary

UDR Consulting, INC is seeking a Cloud FinOps Specialist to optimize cloud costs and drive budgeting, forecasting, and governance across teams in Charleston, WV. You will partner with engineering and leadership to enforce tagging standards and deliver accurate cost reporting.

Candidates should have 3–7+ years in IT financial management or cloud operations, experience with AWS/Azure/GCP pricing models, and tools such as Apptio Cloudability, CloudZero, or Power BI.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Accounting, or Business.
• Experience: 3 to 7+ years in IT financial management, financial analysis, or cloud operations.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP pricing models and related tools.
• Certifications: FinOps Certified Practitioner preferred.

Cloud FinOps Specialist must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in cloud cost management and optimization (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or third-party tools like CloudHealth).

Cloud FinOps Specialist must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience performing cloud usage analysis, Reserved Instance (RI) / Savings Plan management, and right-sizing recommendations.

Cloud FinOps Specialist must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience creating financial dashboards and reporting for executive leadership.

Cloud FinOps Specialist should have strong analytical skills to correlate cloud usage data with business value.
