The Nature Conservancy is seeking an AWS FinOps Engineer to drive cloud financial management, cost optimization, and accountability across our AWS environment. This role collaborates with Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Finance, and business stakeholders to maximize value of cloud investments while supporting innovation and scalability.
You will implement FinOps framework Inform/Optimize/Operate, analyze spending trends, develop cost reporting and dashboards, manage AWS Cost Explorer and Savings
The AWS FinOps Engineer helps drive cloud financial management, cost optimization, and financial accountability across our AWS environment. This role partners closely with Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Finance, and business stakeholders to maximize the value of cloud investments while supporting innovation, scalability, and operational excellence. They combine strong AWS technical expertise, hands‑on coding and automation experience, and a solid understanding of FinOps principles, including the Inform, Optimize, and Operate lifecycle.
The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $80,840 - $128,700. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
