Base pay range

$180,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

CLOUD ENGINEERING MANAGER

$180,000-$200,000 PER YEAR

Harnham is excited to bring you an opportunity with an amazing not-for-profit based in NYC that is changing the lives of underprivileged children across the metro area.

They support the education of some 17,000 students across dozens of schools and are currently looking to scale their efforts over the next 2 years with data, technology and AI being the foundation of their efforts.

THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Cloud Engineering Manager, you will be supporting the Director of Automation and Engineering, taking over the Cloud Engineering part of their remit and a team of 2-3. This will include:

• Design and manage scalable, secure AWS infrastructure
• Build Infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Drive automation efforts for CI/CD and infrastructure deployment
• End-to-end design and execution of high availability, recoverable and cost-optimised cloud strategy
• Manage a team of engineers and work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders – highlighting use cases & business value.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Cloud Engineering Manager will have:

• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• Experience designing cloud infrastructure and working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to highlight use cases and value
• Certifications in AWS (preferably Solutions Architect – Professional and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer)
• Deep knowledge of AWS Services and Terraform
• Proficient coding skills in Python
• Skilled with Docker and/or Kubernetes
• Experience leading a team
