Job summary

The Vanguard Group in Malvern, PA is seeking an AI/ML Platform Engineer to build and support cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and observability for AI/ML solutions. This hybrid role requires in-office Tue-Wed-Thu.

You will collaborate with engineering partners to create scalable platform services in AWS, automate CI/CD, and support models throughout their lifecycle using Python, Kubernetes, SageMaker, Lambda, and Arize for observability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of platform engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps, MLOps, or related field.
• Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience developing services in AWS.
• Experience using Python for automation or platform services.
• Experience with Kubernetes or AWS container services (EKS/ECS).
• Experience with AI/ML deployment or observability tools (SageMaker, Lambda, Arize) preferred.

Job description

As an AI/ML Platform Engineer, you will build and support the cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and observability capabilities that enable reliable delivery of AI and machine learning solutions. You will work with engineering partners to create scalable platform services, improve operational performance, and support models throughout their lifecycle. This role combines AWS platform engineering, CI/CD automation, and production support within a sprint-based delivery environment.

This Hybrid Role (in office Tues-Wed-Thurs) is based in Malvern, PA (HQ)

Responsibilities:

• Build and support CI/CD pipelines for deploying and managing AI/ML models.
• Implement and maintain AI observability capabilities using Arize.
• Develop and support scalable platform services in AWS.
• Create platform solutions using Python and applicable AWS and container technologies, including Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, Lambda, and SageMaker.
• Monitor platform performance and resolve reliability, scalability, and operational issues.
• Automate repeatable deployment, monitoring, and support processes.
• Collaborate with engineering and AI/ML teams to translate platform needs into technical solutions.
• Deliver prioritized work through sprint planning, development, testing, and implementation.
• Participate in a rotating production support schedule.

Education & Experience:

• 3+ years of related experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, DevOps, MLOps, software engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience developing or maintaining services in AWS.
• Experience using Python for automation, platform services, or application development.
• Experience working with Kubernetes or AWS container services such as EKS or ECS.
• Experience with AI/ML deployment, SageMaker, Lambda, or model observability tools such as Arize, preferred.
