UPMC is looking to hire a Senior Automation Cloud Engineer to work within the Corporate Technology Services Team.

This position will be working on a team that has three major goals: Innovation, Collaboration, and Continuous Improvement, on a 360 platform, responsible for Cloud Strategy including, but not limited to Infrastructure, Security, Architecture, and Governance. Purpose:

Under the general direction of management, this Senior position requires technical expertise in cloud, security, network, and systems design to drive development, DevOps, implementation, and automation across various domains and projects. Proficiency in software development, including understanding programming languages, software design principles, development, and scripting methodologies, is essential. Technical experience and analytical skills are needed to troubleshoot complex systems, define project plans, implement, and maintain Cloud environments, and meet client and business needs within budget and deadlines. Responsibilities:
  • Maintain systems, participate in projects, provide end-user and application support, contribute to team documentation, and continually improve processes under the guidance of management and senior team members.
  • Plan and execute technical design, delivery, and architecture for new platforms and products.
  • Analyze customer needs, create technical designs and documentation.
  • Document Cloud policies and procedures; perform research and analysis for project proposals, system modifications, and new products.
  • Review Cloud tool sets for efficiency, cost, and performance; research issues and propose technical solutions.
  • Own the overall system design, security, scalability, reliability, and performance of Cloud projects.
  • Implement tools and processes to maximize efficiency and automation.
  • Mentor and develop team members through coaching and collaboration.
  • Respond to production issues as needed, 24x7x365.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors.
